Our Approach:

QB1 Max was founded on the belief that excelling at the quarterback position requires an athlete to maximize their Leadership Ability, Quarterback IQ, Physical Skills, and Overall Wellness. Whether tackle or flag football, we train our athletes with the goal of building the self confidence that allows them to consistently succeed at the most demanding position in team sports. By integrating drills and concepts that challenge your physical and mental development, we prepare you for the highs and lows that inevitably come during a game and throughout the course of a season.

Having consistent success at the quarterback position requires more than just speed and arm strength. Being coachable, demonstrating the ability to lead and motivate teammates, and keeping your poise under pressure all impact your ability to deliver when the game is on the line.

Leadership Ability

The QB1 IQ framework is focused on developing a deeper understanding of the mental side of quarterbacking. Understanding and recognizing defensive coverages, making the correct reads within play progression, and when and why to audible to help the quarterback visualize the play before it happens and accelerate their mental processing and decision making.

QB1 IQ

Our training program is designed to help athletes develop the proper footwork in and outside the pocket, build the correct throwing mechanics to increase accuracy and velocity, and instill confidence as they prepare for game day.

Physical Skills

Our four and eight-week programs include an injury prevention screening and customized strength training exercises developed specifically for you by our physical therapist.

From footwork to throwing mechanics to understanding defensive coverages and how your mental approach impacts your success, we will create a plan unique to you and your goals. Each session begins with our physical therapist designed, quarterback specific warm-up and progresses through the fundamentals and technical aspects of playing the position. Sessions are recorded to provide our athletes with visual feedback that helps them continually improve. Whiteboard work and game film review is also available upon request. These high rep and detail oriented sessions provide a great learning environment for athlete development.

Small group sessions have a maximum QB to Coach ratio of 6:1 and focus on footwork, throwing mechanics and understanding defensive coverages. These small group sessions provide an opportunity for athletes to build their individual skills while also learning from and competing with their peers.
